Im trying to open my ipod when i open it an error report comes up and says "software application has encounted a problem and needs to close. " so i click send error report. It goes through everything then Microsft visual C ++ Run time Libary
Program: C / Program files/itunes/itunes.exe
this application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusaual way. Please contact the application 's support team for more information.
Can someone tell me whats wrong

i dont know whats wrong, but i recomend u either take your ipod into an apple store or call up the apple store and ask them what to do.

How can I load info into a 17770x480000 element array?
I need to put that much info into a super fast accessable area. I first tried making thousands of files but...
Reading text files takes too long for each prediction, about 1 second. In order for this thing to be done within reasonable time, the predictions have to be made at about 50/s or else it'll take too long.
It would be really useful if i could load all the info into one giant matrix. For some reason or other, c++, or rather visual c++, or my pc, doesn't let me do this. I get an error at runtime. Can i fix this?
I could theoretically simulate a matrix on my harddrive, but in order for that to work, the memory on the harddrive must be accessible through numeric address using pointers. Is this possible?
(I would need about 3.2 gigs or memory one way or another. )
I've heard of people making giant bit streams, where you could read any bit by inputing an address? Does this use RAM, or the hardrive, or both? How would i do this?

You dont say what the platform is, but a 64 bit box with sufficient ram should be able to do this (You would probably need a 64 bit OS to have sufficient per process address space).
Does windows have an equivalent of the posix mmap call? That allows you to map a filesystem object into the processes address space and would let you work with a smaller amount of ram (but you would still need the VM space, so probably still a 64 bit platform).
How good is your data locality? can you partition the problem into multiple smaller datasets that even if run as one process each would ease your VM space constraints?
Is the matrix sparse? Can you take advantage of this?
Just some thoughts.

I don't think you'll be able to fix this problem using in-memory matrices: if you were trying to store single bytes for matrix elements, it would require 8 GB of RAM, and few computers have that.
So you'll have to store it in a file, and even that is iffy because lots of filesystems out there don't support files larger than 2 GB. But you might be able to split it up in several files.

i have installed nfs carbon and when i run carbon ...i goes fullscreen and then comes out giving me an error message. it goes somethin like this..

also do the same for.
Hkey_local_machine/software
you should uninstall the utility.
Then restart the machine then the regedit and then reinstall the program with the card installed verses not.

you should uninstall the utility.
Then restart the machine then the regedit and then reinstall the program with the card installed verses not.
I believe your reg entries are causing the problem.

I have windows xp media center edition, and getting Microsoft visual C++ on desktop toolbar?
I get this error right after I start my computer, before I connect to the internet. And the screen switches from my desktop to the blue screen from the media center and it says media detection in progress please wait...but never does anything after that. I am just learning computers so I don't know how to fix my runtime library program, any help would be great. If I go to the download at microsoft, I don't know what it is that I need to fix it?

TO FIX IT:
I did a file search for "discgui.exe" and found it a couple times in the c:/program files/disc/.. subdirectories. I changed the name of each occurrence of the file to "discgui.exe.old"
Problem hasn't come back since.

Normally any Microsoft product that has a corrupted registry file will give out that message. Like IE, Office, Visual Studio, etc. Its an annoying problem.

Do you have Visual Studio.net installed in your computer? I think if you get Windows XP Service Pack 2, then it fixes that problem. There is a windows update that updates your visual studio net on your computer.

I have trouble with iTunes Please Help!?
Whenever I open iTunes or Quicktime a get an error message box that Reads:

Then it says a buffer overrun has been detected which has corrupted the programs internal state. The program cannot safely continue execution and must now be terminated.

I have an antivirus "BitDefender" and its updator installed on my computer ...I didn't have any problem but its a while I'm recieving errors with the title : "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library"

So try to reinstall the app it may solve the problem.
Sometimes even a corrupted exe, or dll file or even a firewall may be a cause check them too.

Ok, I have a DELL Inspiron 600m laptop and recently I have been getting messages that say "Windows Low on Virtual Memory".
Then today I was trying to type something up in Microsoft Word, and a message came on the screen that said " Microsoft Visual C++ Library" as it' title and then it said "Runtime Error! Program : C: \Program Files\Microsoft Office\ Office 11\ WINWORD.EXE , abnormal program termination.
I deleted some programs and things, but that still didn't work. Does anyone else have this problem or know what is wrong? What should I do?

What is happening is your computer is trying to use memory from your hard drive! You may have a small hard drive, so utilize it well! If you have less than 512MB of RAM, try to get it to that number at least. Try to think about the programs that you really don't need, and uninstall them! Music videos, music, movies, pictures etc, think about those too! You more than likely can be suffering Internet clutter with temporary files, so go into the control panel, switch to category view and go into performance and maintenance . Clean your hard drive up! The number one reason why most computers slow down and start acting funny, is the lack of maintenance. Take care of your computer, so you can enjoy it for some time to come!

The previous answerer is correct. You need to understand how C strings work to decipher this problem. When you use new, p points to a valid memory location. When you assign p = “foobar”, “foobar” is created in another memory location. Then p is pointed to that other memory location.
Do you see the problem yet? You create memory with new, but you lose the pointer to it. You reassign the pointer to string literal, which is at another memory location.
Delete won’t work on a string literal. So you have two problems. You’re attempting to delete memory you never dynamically allocated. And because you lost the original memory address, you can’t free that up either.
The solution is to strcpy or strncpy foobar into p. You cannot use assignment. You may also want to look into C++ strings. The interface allows for more logical usage such as assignment directly, and comparisons.

This feature is similar to the Find Fast feature in Microsoft Office 2000. Fast searching uses the Indexing Service in Office XP to create a catalog of Office files on your computer's hard disk.
Method 1: Clean Boot with Only MoSearch
The Mosearch.exe (Microsoft Office Search Service) and Mosdmn.exe (Microsoft Office 10 Search Filter Daemon) Startup items may be conflicting with some other program (or programs) running in the background. Therefore, clean boot your computer with only MoSearch selected on the Startup menu to determine whether this program is the source of the conflict. To do this, follow these steps: 1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type msconfig.exe, and then click OK.
3. On the General tab, click Selective startup.
4. On the Startup tab, click to clear all check boxes except for MoSearch.

Reply:right. now your adobe c++ is clashing with windows c++. it happens some time. best way remove the photoshop and re-install. if still happens then probabley need to install your windows again. because once their base files are currupted you can not repair them.

there might be chances that your hardware is not supporting your softwares. this often happens when you have less RAM on the system. so get that checked as well.

Reply:right. now your adobe c++ is clashing with windows c++. it happens some time. best way remove the photoshop and re-install. if still happens then probabley need to install your windows again. because once their base files are currupted you can not repair them.

there might be chances that your hardware is not supporting your softwares. this often happens when you have less RAM on the system. so get that checked as well.

Does anyone know the meaning of this error message that continually interrupts my computer ?
The message reads as follows :

A buffer overrun has been detected which has corupted the programs internal state. The program cannot safely continue execution and must be terminated.
The only option given is "OK". When I click the "OK" box, my screen flashes and my icons and taskbar temporarily disappear and then are back. A few moments later, it happens again but won't repeat for about 30 minutes. I've never seen it and could use some help. Thanks.

If you do, and the file dates and sizes are different, then one of them is probably bad.or altered.
Reply:Boot in SAFE MODE. Try using Windows Explorer there. If you don't get the message, then reboot normally and run some virus checking programs.
If you installed a new program recently, remove it and test your system.

A "runtime" error means that there is an error in a macro or add-in that is attempting to run. Typically these macros are created by a third-party and are not part of the installation. (They could also be caused by a malfunctioning macro virus as well)
Many third-party applications will create an add-in and place it in
the Startup folder or use a COM add-in (DLL) to integrate their software.
Two things could be wrong....
First, malware - likely the Trojan Dialer.Mostrar which is known for this issue - may have corrupted the file referred to in the runtime error message. If this is the case (and this is the first thing you should try to solve this problem), run at least two separate virus checkers (I use Norton’s Anti Virus and do an online scan) after you have updated the program with the newest downloads. Run the virus program you have on your hard drive in Safe Mode (this sometimes eliminates viruses that can’t be deleted in normal mode).
After you are sure your disk is virus free, check and see if this eliminated the error and the problem caused by the error.
Second, I would guess that a DLL is corrupted, or the memory moduile is bad. Did she add RAM to the system prior to starting PSPX - maybe you have a bad bit of memory?
Then I would run hardware diagnostics like System File Checker. (She will need the Windows Disk for this) This is a program that not only checks for corrupted/missing files, but fixes them. Start SFC from the Start/Run command. Type in sfc scannow (remember to put a space between the c and the forward slash), and press Enter for XP/2000 users or simply SFC for previous versions (98, ME) and follow the instructions .... place the disk in the machine when prompted.. After the program finishes running, reboot the computer.
This fix has worked in the majority of the runtime error cases I’ve experienced. Sometimes, it doesn’t work and you’ll have to dig a little deeper to find the cause.
If that does not work, then try the following....
Try cleaning out IE temp files and cookies, or if they have them, try uninstalling the Yahoo or Google Toolbars from the Add / Remove Programs applet icon the control panel.
Microsoft Office can also cause this issue. Try re-installing or updating it online.

well, if your windows is not crashing then it's ok, what that means that some application is crashing(the .dll file that is associated with that program),it could also be some 'invisible' program like adware or spyware... if you search google for error R6025 you'll see that there are many pages with same error in Microsoft products..powerpoint, word, access...if you don't see anything crashing then what you can do is go Start/Run msconfig , go to Startup tab, and uncheck the programs that you don't need to use, also check for weird stuff.

I use Mozilla Firefox, and I have Yahoo set as my home page. For some reason it switched to the new Yahoo page by itself. I would switch it back, but, every time I open Firefox a window pops up and says: Microsoft visual C++ runtime library

Sometimes those settings that firefox has keeps certain scripts and java items from loading.
Also, try to open Firefox the way you always do, hit the STOP button up on top ASAP to keep yahoo from loading all the way.
Hit the TOOLS tab up on top, then hit OPTIONS. When the main box opens up hit the GENERAL tab and then use another site for your main page. Then hit apply or save whichever one is there. Actually http://www.google.com is a safe page to use. I never use Yahoo, MSN or anything that has some type of media to load as an opening page. Sometimes these items keep the browser from opening correctly.
Make sure you go through all the options from TOOLS, OPTIONS. Make sure you set the browser to NOT ALLOW SITES TO INSTALL PROGRAMS. YOU DO NOT WANT SITES TO INSTALL THEIR OWN PROGRAMS ON YOUR COMPUTER. Disable JAVASCRIPT as a default and also JAVA. You can always allow a site to run javascript from the little "S" that is on the bottom of the browser if you need to.
Also try to go to CONTROL PANEL on your computer, go to Mozilla Firefox and hit the uninstall, sometimes it asks if you want to repair the installation. If it does, then select that. If not, uninstall then go back to that site using IE and download the EXE again for a fresh install.

You might need to tell the program to try to run it like it is on XP. (right click the program icon, and go to the properties).
The error just means something happen in the program and its trying to close its self down (instead of just freezing), but as we can see even closing itself down isn't doing that correctly. I'm guessing the program wasn't made for Vista.

I need help with internet related problem concerning Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver.?
I have Vista and I had numerous crashes with Internet Explorer 7. I had many occurances of the error "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library". I already had uninstall the google toolbar and tried to figure out what add-ons may be the problem but did not find a solution. In Vista's "Problem Reports and Solutions", it prompted me with a solution of downloading an update for Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver. I had clicked the link I was given to download Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver version 15.2.3. I had downloaded it and while installing it, it made my computer display a black screen with one blinking underscore. Then it displayed a black screen with many red, green, blue distorted little boxes together on different parts of the screen. This happened for a good 7-8 minutes. Finally, my computer turned back on normally with the installation still running for about 3 minutes and then it finally says that I cannot install because I have an "error in setup". What do I do?

Ok...Some days ago, I created a new Yahoo! ID. I tried to make an avatar but it froze and sometimes the IE closed suddenly without warning. I thought it was bad luck but...I tried to open my Messenger but sometimes it said there is a problem, sometimes it closed by itself just like IE, and now it says it failed to initialise (kind of error). Now I can't open my Nero StartSmart, my Messenger, sometimes my Avira Antivir, sometimes IE...After numerous tries I hardly succeeded to reach Yahoo!Answers. At certain programmes it says it's a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Error , it caused the program to terminate. Yesterday, when I tried to open different features of Avira it said things like : Out of memory. The virus or unwanted program was not deleted. What out of memory, I have lots of free memory! What virus???
I mention I have SUPERAntiSpyware and Avira AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic. Now, the scans work reaaaallly slow.
Anyone has a solution for this? Please, please help me!!!

What you wanna do is get these anti-virus with fire wall. first download the spybot S%26amp;D. It's the first site below. After downloading, scan. Do the same with the second site below. Then, what version is your IE? You should use IE7. Or better yet, use firefox for safer browsing. I indicated the site for that too below.

Reply:Make a complete new installation of your system. Seems you also have lots of worms, trojans, etc. Your computer is totally corrupted. A new installation might be the best. I know this is not the answer you want to hear - but, believe me, it's probably the best thing you can do.
Format your system. Hard and *****ty work, but probably the best.

Reply:Make a complete new installation of your system. Seems you also have lots of worms, trojans, etc. Your computer is totally corrupted. A new installation might be the best. I know this is not the answer you want to hear - but, believe me, it's probably the best thing you can do.
Format your system. Hard and *****ty work, but probably the best.

Internet Explorer in Windows Vista?
I am getting the "Runtime Error Visual C" when I launch explorer. I have read on the Windows site they know of this problem, but don't have a solution. Anyone else have this problem and if so, do you know how to solve it?

Why won't my computer work with Yahoo Music Jukebox?
I downloaded the free player because I want to get the Unlimited version, but don't want to buy it until I know it works. I download it, install it, run it. A few seconds after booting it up, I get this message from Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library:

Then ok.On first list check make sure both webcam and messenger are there and checked.Then ok. no need to ever change these setting's.When showing only use large webcam screen when really needed.

Reply:You probably have a trojan virus that gets into the registry. A bulletin from Microsoft about runtime errors recommends Avast antivirus to remove it. Avast Home is free. I've used Avast for years and recommend it to remove any virus. If this is a trojan worm and not a virus, then you need anti-spyware like SpyBot Search %26amp; Destroy and Ad-Aware. But first get Avast installed and run a virus check. It will take a while, so go do something else while it checks your entire computer system.

Reply:go to microsoft.com search for visual basic or try that out on google. download the visual basic setup prog and install and make sure u create a restore point before any of this. if the error lies with your visual basic this should fix it. or search for R6025 over the net
