HELP ME COMPUTER NERDs!!!!!!!!!?

My problem is I have recently brought a new PC Desktop and its been fine and i have installed games before and i know this game should work fine on the system and its not a old game either and the computer has the specifications to play this game. As it is Brand New etc.

I installed a game last night and that was fine. But then i came to click play on the game and it would progress from there onwards. The message was something along the lines of; Error Microsoft Visual Runtime C++ Library Error. and then after that it just says games name and this is abnormal error etc. I am guessing something is stopping the game from playing but i dont no much about this kind of thing.

The text is Error; Microsoft Visual Runtime C++ Library and the game is Rollercoaster Tycoon 3.

I have tried lots of websites and uninstalling it etc. also contacted atari with no reply so there useless and i have spoke to dell on phone and they cud not help. Is there something i can download? or wot can i do

HELP ME COMPUTER NERDs!!!!!!!!!?
It sounds like there may be a problem with your video card. Since you say it is a new PC, and you are certain it has the right specs, I would take it back to where yhou purchased it and have them service it (if you bought the service agreement.) I had a similar problem with a laptop I bought a year ago. The video card was defective and they had to replace the whole motherboard because of the way laptops are built. It was covered by the service plan, but I had to suffer with no computer for 3 weeks.
Reply:I use to have this same problem. It your video card. You probaly have to upgrade it. I hope this helps, if you need more info email me.
Reply:So you want to throw an insult at us, and demand help without asking politely why should anyone help you?

99% of problems with games is graphics drivers,

install new graphics drivers for you graphics card. And make sure that you have to appropriate version of directX installed.
Reply:nerd ! would have helped if you wernt rude
Reply:first of all i wanna give message to people like you

YOU DEGRADE PEOPLE TO MUCH AND YOU DEMAND US FOR AN ANSWER!!! WE ARE PEOPLE TOO AND WE DEMAND RESPECT!!! JUST BECAUSE WE ARE DIFERENT AND YOU GUYS DO DIFFERENT THINGS NOT OF OUR LIKNG HOW ABSURD!!! NEXT TIME YOU BETTER WATCH YOUR MOUTH BECAUSE THE PEOPLE YOU CALL "NERDS" MAY ACTUALLY HAVE ATHLETHESISM

im laughing about the fact that atari ignored you haha!!! still is not the game really maybe cause your video card cant handle the graphics or maybe the old video card you had too much games so maybe it got busted... so my advice is that you buy Radeon the best gaming video card that is previously being sold install on your pc, get more games then presto

if it doesn't work probably needs some system fix ask a comp engineer or something
Reply:You forgot the magic word.
Reply:There are infact many bugs within Microsoft Visual Runtime C++ Library which I fould out through using Microsoft Word. The only thing I can usrgesst is to go to the microsoft update page, (The link is in the all programs selection of the start menu and when asked click custom update then check every windows update going.) Don't click the recommend button as this will not install all the updates that windows issued. You make be asked to install a program first by Microsoft in order to use the update site. This may solve your problem if it is a problem that windows has fixed.

Also check to see if any patches are avalable for download for the game.
Reply:Hi

The error refers to DLL on your computer in the windows directory. try unistalling the game reboot the computer then reinstall. Other options are

check that you have all the service packs on your PC for both the operating system and the game.

If the error message name the file search for a copy on the net and put it in the windows directly.

Check the Copy of windows you are using against the game specs i have a game that runs on some and not others.
Reply:Firstly you need to go to your Control Panel and then System and make sure you have a Video Card installed. A lot of new PCs still come with onboard graphics and a lot of games wont work without a proper graphics card like NVidia.

Once you find out what sort of card you have (if any) go to the appropriate company web site and download the latest version of the drivers.

If you have Norton Security system installed then uninstall Rollercoaster Tycoon, disable your security for a few minutes and then reinstall the game - remember to reactivate your security.
Reply:were not nerds. maybe you can go to a computer repair or something? sorry i dont know much about computer games. i'm into ps2 and playstation games.
Reply:install plug ins like 'java runtime environment' make you have direct x installed
Reply:I also had this problem.

I installed rollercoaster 3 and everything was fine, after a couple of months I installed another game(forget what it was called, was a stratagy game though) then got the same error messages your describing. I un-installed the new game and everything was fine again.

Have you put a new game on?

P.s this game wont run on any graphics card lower than 128mb
