I need help with internet related problem concerning Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver.?

I have Vista and I had numerous crashes with Internet Explorer 7. I had many occurances of the error "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library". I already had uninstall the google toolbar and tried to figure out what add-ons may be the problem but did not find a solution. In Vista's "Problem Reports and Solutions", it prompted me with a solution of downloading an update for Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver. I had clicked the link I was given to download Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver version 15.2.3. I had downloaded it and while installing it, it made my computer display a black screen with one blinking underscore. Then it displayed a black screen with many red, green, blue distorted little boxes together on different parts of the screen. This happened for a good 7-8 minutes. Finally, my computer turned back on normally with the installation still running for about 3 minutes and then it finally says that I cannot install because I have an "error in setup". What do I do?

Go back to XP.

Many of the drivers are still not compatible with Vista..
Reply:sounds like ur rgb colors is broken

maybe u should fix this

or maybe it's ur hardisk, ram or system problem with"error in setup"

if thr's nothing u could do

try reformatting ur pc and install with windows xp

i dont recommend vista cos it's too new

and most of the system or pc cant afford to follow vista steps
Reply:vista is too young...buggy and has very few good drivers available for it...and despite microsoft boasting its secure it isnt...even before it was launched it was hacked to pieces by hackers...xp sp2+ is actually more secure at this time cos its had years to mature in the form of updates...i'd wait until sp1 for vista is available before i ever consider putting vista back on my pc again...also your laptop would perform much better with xp cos xp doesnt require half the amount of system ram or cpu power as vista does.
